Boise State Writing Project – Service Learning and Inquiry Initiative

Service Learning in Support of Boise Schools Grant funding has supported 48 BSD teachers in attending the Boise State Writing Project (BSWP) Service Learning and Inquiry Institute/Initiative. **Click here for a list of BSD teachers trained at BSWP Service Learning and Inquiry Workshops.

Grant funding supports eight BSD teachers annually as participants in a Service Learning and Inquiry Initiative.   BSD teachers are teamed with professional mentor teachers through the school year.  Teachers/mentors meet monthly to plan and implement common core standards and service learning methods.  The projects are presented in April at a “Night of Service and Inquiry” held at Boise State University.  (To be directed to the Boise State Writing Project web site, please click here.)

BSD teachers interested in the Service Learning and Inquiry Initiative for future years,  please contact Gayl Loutzenheiser at gayl@cableone.net or 208-841-9511.
